The title is really a bit misleading. I’m not naked in the cold, like outside in the cold. It is, so far, the coldest day of the year. It’s about four degrees outside, Fahrenheit. That’s a bit cold for me to be cavorting around outside in the nude.
Not inside! Being somewhat of a rebel, I turned the heat up a bit and decided that today is a perfect naked day. Sitting in my toasty living room, looking out the picture window at all that snow, just makes me long for the warmth of summer.
This past year we spent time at Bare Oaks and at our local club Empire Haven. It was wonderful enjoying the warm sun, the pool, and the many conversations. I long for that time again.
Until then, here I am, sitting inside watching the snow and longing for summer’s return. How about you?

Yes, agreed, far too cold out there. I am also sitting naked in the house pining for summer. Damn old houses are drafty though. This night it will be -40°C/-40°F outside. I’m making a fire in the fireplace, cookies and warm mulled wine. I’m bring a duvet down from upstairs. I’ll spend all evening, naked, wrapped up in my duvet, in front of my fireplace, munching on cookies and sipping spiced wine, reading, and waiting for the sun to return.
The spiced wine sounds good. I think I may stick with scotch though. 🙂
Single malt is a good choice indeed. I’ll have both then, the wine to warm me up and the scotch to make me mellow.
Now that sounds like a plan!
Steve, sorry to read of your upcoming knee surgery. Hope it works out good for you.
You mention Empire Haven. I was a member there from 1986-1996 when I lived near Syracuse. Met my wife in 1987 and she became a member of EH in 1988. I was just looking through some old “Bun Burners” a couple weeks ago.
